The John Stephenson Involvement Award will be granted to continuing students enrolled at the Lassonde School of Engineering who have made a significant contribution to a student club/society or in the York community through leadership or volunteering (i.e. mentorship, Engineers Without Borders, hackathons, club executive position(s), organizing community building events etc.). To be eligible, students must submit a statement outlining their involvement in University and campus life. In addition, applicants must provide a letter of support from a faculty or staff who supports this nomination. If there is more than one eligible candidate, preference will be granted to students who are enrolled in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, and those who demonstrate financial need. The Award will be adjudicated by the Lassonde School of Engineering Awards Committee.
