The Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Entrance Scholarship will be awarded annually to two students who have been admitted to the Engineering program in the Lassonde School of Engineering. To be considered applicants must demonstrate academic excellence ( minimum admission average of 80%) and must demonstrate at least one of the following: a. leadership qualities through participation in extra-curricular activities or programs; b. commitment to participation in extra-curricular activities in school or the community like student government, clubs and team sports; c. superior volunteerism (well beyond requirements for high school graduation); or d. financial need. 

Applicants are strongly encouraged to enroll in the free student membership programs of Professional Engineers Ontario (engineeringstudents.peo.on.ca) and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (http://www.ospe.on.ca/?page=cat stud). As well, applicants are encouraged to subscribe to the engineersfoundation.ca website. 

By virtue of applying for these awards, selected recipients consent to their name being published by the donor. The recipient's combined scholarships for the academic year cannot be more than $10,000 from all sources including the Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Entrance Scholarships

To be eligible applicants will be required to submit a one-page statement outlining:

a. leadership qualities through participation in extra-curricular activities or programs; 

b. commitment to participation in extra-curricular activities in school or the community like student government, clubs and team sports; 

c. superior volunteerism (well beyond requirements for high school graduation)
