Description

The Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Undergraduate Scholarship will be awarded annually to two students in second, third, fourth or final year of an Engineering program at the Lassonde School of Engineering. To be considered, candidates must demonstrate at least one of the following: a. financial need; b. high engineering aptitude (i.e. natural engineering ability; not to be equated with a specific gpa); c. leadership through participation in professional affairs; d. sustained participation in extra-curricular activities either on or off campus; or e. continued volunteerism either on or off-campus. 

Applicants are strongly encouraged to enroll in the free student membership programs of Professional Engineers Ontario (engineeringstudents.peo.on.ca) and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (http://www.ospe.on.ca/?page=cat stud). As well,applicants are encouraged to subscribe to the engineersfoundation.ca website. 

By virtue of applying for these awards, selected recipients consent to their name being published by the donor. The recipient's combined scholarships for the academic year cannot be more than $10,000 from all sources including the Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education Entrance Scholarships.

To be eligible applicants will be required to submit a one-page statement outlining: 

a. leadership through participation in professional affairs

b. sustained participation in extra-curricular activities either on or off campus 

c. continued volunteerism either on or off-campus
